Who is this Jesus you’re preaching? A weakling, a sapling, under developed – lame. Why teach a watered down gospel? How small is your God? Is there any power in the name of your Jesus? In a man of compromise and tolerance?
There is power in the name of Jesus. He cannot be contained or boxed in by human words. My God is great, and he holds the heavens in the palms of his hands. He is mighty and magnificent and majestic and more than that. He is beyond what any language on earth can say. He is lovely and takes my breath away. He makes me weep and laugh and dance with abandon because of his glory, his power, his love, his mercy, his grace. Wonderful. Counselor. Prince of Peace. The way, the truth, the life. There is no other path but Him; no other way but Him. He is what I live for, who I follow, who I trust, in whom I find peace. Jesus Christ, Lord of all; earth and heaven are subject to Him, and He holds the keys of death in His hands. He has overcome, even death cannot hold Him.
Why preach a watered down gospel, thinking that’s what they want to hear? The truth is what cuts to the heart. The truth is what changes people, from the inside, burning and refining, to the outside. Let every knee bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord of all. His love, His unimaginable love. Don’t give me a poor copy, a compromising, tolerant man. Give me Jesus.
